Here is a small collection of memories from my experiences of life lived on the Huron River Chain of Lakes. Living in a quaint little cottage converted into a year round home, being a single parent, gardening and making memories with friends and family. Reflecting back, I am reminded of the value in realizing the richness of every day.
Dr. Julia Bergs’ “Down By The Berry Patch” inspired this collection and I hope to continue to add to these first three stories to create a more complete collection, as she has done. These short essays are quick glimpse into everyday life that might remind us that it’s not the destination but the journey that’s important.
