Introduction
Holly Chamberlain

Here is a small collection of memories from my experiences of life lived on the Huron River Chain of Lakes. Living in a quaint little cottage converted into a year round home, being a single parent, gardening and making memories with friends and family. Reflecting back, I am reminded of the value in realizing the richness of every day.

Dr. Julia Bergs’ “Down By The Berry Patch” inspired this collection and I hope to continue to add to these first three stories to create a more complete collection, as she has done. These short essays are quick glimpse into everyday life that might remind us that it’s not the destination but the journey that’s important.

To loosely quote the famed thirteenth-century Sufi mystic Jelalludin Rumi…

    Show Up….

      Pay Attention…

        Contribute….

And Don’t Be Attached to an Outcome.
